Cosmos Hub governance proposal No. 1060 has passed, authorizing the migration of approximately 566,000 Noble-native USDC (USDC.n) from the community pool to Injective-native USDC (USDC.inj). The transfer will be executed via a community multisig wallet, with the funds returning to the Cosmos community pool after conversion.
The move follows Circle's announcement that it will discontinue support for USDC on Noble and the CCTP V1 cross-chain transfer protocol. Circle plans to suspend the Noble USDC contract and associated cross-chain routes on January 12, 2027, prompting ecosystem participants to seek alternative stablecoin infrastructure.
