Chinese stock indices surged to multi-year highs on May 11, with significant gains across major markets. The SSE Composite Index rose by 21.39 points, or 0.51%, opening at 4,201.35. The Shenzhen Component Index increased by 133.64 points, or 0.86%, reaching 15,697.44. Meanwhile, the Shanghai-Shenzhen 300 Index climbed 30.37 points, or 0.62%, to 4,902.28. The ChiNext Index saw a rise of 33.48 points, or 0.88%, opening at 3,829.61, and the China Science and Technology Innovation 50 Index jumped 47.18 points, or 2.88%, to 1,687.64.
