China is poised to implement its eighth gasoline price increase of the year as the refined oil price adjustment window opens at midnight on May 21. Analysts predict a rise in domestic gasoline and diesel prices due to fluctuating international crude oil prices. Jinlianchuang's calculations indicate an expected increase of 110 yuan per ton, with 92-octane gasoline prices projected to rise by approximately 0.08 yuan per liter. Wang Luqing, an analyst at Zhongchuang Information, suggests that the final price hike could exceed 100 yuan per ton, translating to an additional 4.5 yuan for a 50-liter tank of 92-octane gasoline. Similarly, Liu Bingjuan from Longzhong Information forecasts a price adjustment of around 90 yuan per ton, impacting private vehicle owners with a 70-liter tank by about 5 yuan more.
