China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) will fully implement the 'AI+' initiative as part of efforts to modernize the industrial system and address competitive pressures. NDRC Director Zheng Shanjie emphasized the importance of leveraging macroeconomic policies and integrating existing and new policies to enhance economic stability. The commission plans to strengthen infrastructure in areas such as water networks, new power grids, computing networks, and logistics, while promoting investment in both physical and human capital. Additionally, the NDRC aims to advance the construction of a unified national market and tackle 'involution'—a term used to describe excessive competition. The commission will also focus on energy security, implement comprehensive conservation strategies, and support employment for key groups. The NDRC is preparing a set of targeted policy tools to be deployed as needed to sustain economic growth.
