Bybit CEO Ben Zhou highlighted a transformative shift in the global financial industry at the 2026 Goldman Sachs Asia Pacific FinTech Conference. Zhou emphasized that the sector is entering a new phase driven by tokenization, stablecoins, and artificial intelligence. He noted that blockchain infrastructure is facilitating a move towards 24/7, global, and programmable financial markets. Zhou pointed out that future financial competition will focus on compliance capabilities, institutional trust, global liquidity networks, and cross-market asset connectivity. He predicted that as traditional assets like stocks, bonds, and commodities become tokenized, stablecoins will play a crucial role in global payment and settlement infrastructure. Additionally, AI agents are expected to enhance automation and operational efficiency within financial systems.
