BTQ Technologies has successfully deployed the first functional implementation of Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP) 360 on its Bitcoin Quantum testnet (v0.3.0). BIP-360 addresses potential threats posed by quantum computing to Bitcoin by introducing a new output type called "Pay-to-Merkle-Root," which minimizes the exposure risk of elliptic curve public keys. This proposal was officially merged into the Bitcoin BIP codebase earlier this year.
