BTC Digital has partnered with Aurora Energy to establish an off-grid, natural gas-powered computing infrastructure in Alberta, Canada. The project aims to utilize stranded natural gas resources to generate stable, low-cost electricity for Bitcoin mining. The initial phase will see the construction of a 5–10 MW facility, with plans for future expansion into AI computing and high-performance computing applications. BTC Digital will provide Bitcoin mining equipment and expertise, while also preparing to introduce AI computing devices and modular data centers in later phases. This initiative marks a significant step in integrating energy resources with advanced computing technologies.
