The Blockchain Recovery Investment Consortium (BRIC) has reached a $299.5 million settlement with Tether, resolving litigation related to the Celsius Network bankruptcy. This settlement follows a lawsuit filed in August 2024 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, concerning claims over collateral transfers and liquidations prior to Celsius's bankruptcy filing in July 2022. BRIC, a joint venture between GXD Labs and Vaneck, was appointed as the Complex Asset Recovery Manager and Litigation Administrator for the Celsius bankruptcy estate in January 2024, and continues to manage the estate's illiquid and litigation assets to benefit creditors.
