Brazil has imposed a comprehensive ban on prediction markets and related platforms, rendering Kalshi and Polymarket inaccessible in the country. The Brazilian Central Bank stated that these platforms do not meet the regulatory requirements for derivatives trading and pose risks to investor protection and market integrity. Finance Minister Dario Durigan announced that approximately 28 platforms are included in this ban.
