Boundless has launched its first major network upgrade, 'Surge,' enhancing its proving capacity by 25% and significantly reducing costs. Announced on May 15, the upgrade optimizes performance and costs across the network, cutting proving costs by up to 50% and reducing prover RPC costs by up to 99%. The 'Surge' upgrade also marks Boundless's transition to a multi-chain proving infrastructure, initially integrating with Taiko and Base. This allows a single proving node to serve multiple chains, improving resource utilization. The enhancements are expected to benefit all proving requestors with higher performance and lower costs.
