Nic Carter, a partner at Castle Island Ventures, has highlighted the need for Solana to undergo a complete rebuild to achieve quantum resistance. In a video shared by DEGEN NEWS, Carter explained that Solana's current architecture, which is optimized around a specific elliptic curve and hardware-level enhancements, poses challenges for adapting to quantum-resistant cryptography. He suggested that while Solana might consider adopting lattice-based cryptography, this approach could slow down the network and compromise its high throughput, which is a core aspect of Solana's design philosophy.
