Bolivia has officially ended its decade-long ban on cryptocurrencies, now permitting the use of Tether's USDT stablecoin for everyday transactions. Starting in 2025, the government will integrate USDT into the banking system, allowing its use for spending, saving, and loans. The Central Bank of Bolivia has approved digital channels for crypto transactions, with banks like Banco Bisa already offering crypto services. This move aligns Bolivia with a growing trend in Latin America, where countries such as Brazil and Argentina are adopting stablecoins to boost economic growth and innovation.
