Blockrise, a Dutch Bitcoin platform, has obtained authorization from the Dutch Financial Markets Authority under the EU MiCAR framework to offer Bitcoin-related services across Europe. The company will provide loans to corporate clients secured by Bitcoin, with a minimum loan amount of €20,000. Importantly, clients will retain ownership of their collateralized Bitcoin, which cannot be re-pledged. Following a successful €2 million seed funding round, Blockrise plans to raise €15 million in a Series A round to expand its lending operations and market presence in the EU.
