Ben Delo, co-founder of BitMEX and pardoned by President Donald Trump, has pledged up to £20 million to the London Institute for Mathematical Sciences (LIMS). Delo has already donated £10 million and committed to matching donations to help the institute raise a total of £60 million for research funding. Previously, Delo pleaded guilty in 2022 to violating the U.S. Bank Secrecy Act and was fined $10 million. He has expressed his intention to donate at least half of his personal wealth to charitable causes.
