South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb has issued an apology after mistakenly airdropping a significant amount of Bitcoin to some of its customers. The error occurred during a recent event, leading to the unintended distribution of Bitcoin to certain accounts. Some recipients of the accidental airdrop proceeded to sell the Bitcoin they received. Bithumb is currently addressing the situation and working to rectify the issue.
