Bitcoin mining company Bitfury has announced a $50 million investment in Gonka, a decentralized AI computing network. This marks the first investment under Bitfury's $1 billion "Emerging Technologies Plan" launched last year. Gonka, incubated by Product Science, allows any hardware, from single GPUs to data centers, to contribute computing power for model training, inference, and scientific calculations. Last month, Bitfury disclosed a $12 million strategic investment in Gonka AI's GNK tokens.
