PhotonPay Raises $40M Series C Led by Blockchain Capital to Build Stablecoin-Centric Financial OS
PhotonPay, a Hong Kong-founded fintech building a stablecoin-centric Financial Operating System, raised $40 million in Series C funding led by Blockchain Capital. New investor SBI Group joined alongside follow-on investments from existing backers IDG Capital, GL Ventures and Lightspeed Faction, with Blacksheep Technology serving as exclusive financial advisor.
The proceeds will accelerate PhotonPay's multi-asset wallet capabilities across stablecoins and fiat currencies, expand global card issuing and local clearing infrastructure, and advance development of an agent-ready financial execution layer designed to support AI-driven workflows and agentic commerce. Founded in 2015, PhotonPay operates 16 offices worldwide, holds more than 30 payment and financial licenses across the Americas, Europe and Asia, and serves businesses in over 200 countries and territories.
