Bitcoin’s short-term holder SOPR has moved above 1 for the first time in more than a year, reaching about 1.01, CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost said. The metric tracks realized profits among holders with positions under six months.
The move suggests short-term holders have returned to average profitability after prolonged losses during the previous bear market. Darkfost said sustained levels in this range would be a positive market signal, noting that past bull market cycles have included profit realization by short-term holders.
