The Bitcoin community is divided over whether quantum computing is responsible for the cryptocurrency's recent price decline. Glassnode's chief analyst, James Check, dismissed the notion, attributing the drop to significant selling by long-term holders rather than quantum computing fears. However, some traditional finance executives, including Jefferies strategist Christopher Wood, have expressed concerns about quantum computing's potential impact on Bitcoin's security, leading Wood to remove Bitcoin from his portfolio. Nic Carter of Castle Island Ventures also supports the view that quantum computing is a key factor in Bitcoin's poor performance this year.
