Major Bitcoin miners Bitdeer, BitFuFu, Canaan, and CleanSpark reported mixed production results for May, collectively mining 1,859 BTC. Bitdeer led with 921 BTC, marking a 370% year-on-year increase, but sold most of its holdings to finance AI Cloud projects, generating approximately $69 million in annualized revenue. BitFuFu's self-mining output rose to 90 BTC, surpassing its cloud mining for the first time, despite a declining hash rate and power curtailments.
Canaan mined 114 BTC through self-mining and hosting, increasing its inventory to 1,867 BTC and 3,952 ETH, while progressing its computing power heating initiative. CleanSpark maintained a hash rate of 50 EH/s, producing 671 BTC in May, but sold the majority to support U.S. AI data center expansion.
