Argentine crypto payment firm Belo has successfully raised $14 million in a Series A funding round led by Tether. The round also saw participation from Titan Fund, The Venture City, Mindset Ventures, and G2. Founded in 2021, Belo offers a digital wallet that facilitates the holding and transferring of local currencies and digital dollars, serving over 3 million users across Latin America.
The newly acquired funds will be directed towards expanding Belo's market presence in Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, and Paraguay. Additionally, the company aims to enhance its services for freelancers and cross-border remittance users in Brazil.
