Banca Sella has become the first Italian bank to comply with the EU's MiCA regulation for cryptocurrency services, following the completion of its notification process with the Bank of Italy. The bank plans to introduce digital asset custody and transfer services for select customers by the end of 2026.
Additionally, Banca Sella is a founding member of the Qivalis alliance, which includes 37 European banks working towards the launch of a euro-pegged stablecoin. This move positions Banca Sella at the forefront of integrating cryptocurrency services within traditional banking in Italy.
