Axie Infinity has announced the introduction of a new application token, Bonded AXS (bAXS), which will function alongside AXS as a reserve currency. The bAXS token, an ERC20-C token, will support activities such as Axie evolution, breeding, and staking. To promote the new token, Axie Infinity will conduct two airdrops for AXS stakers and based on Axie Score. The first airdrop will distribute 100,000 bAXS, with eligibility requiring a minimum of 10 AXS staked by February 5, 00:01 UTC. Details of the second airdrop remain undisclosed, but staking bAXS from the first airdrop will enhance eligibility. Additionally, Axie Infinity plans to phase out Axie Homeland, replacing it with a new land-based game, Terrariums, set to launch its MVP version in Q2 2026. The official release of bAXS will coincide with this launch, allowing players to earn bAXS through in-game activities.
