Aptos will conduct its first Testnet state reset on October 7, restarting the network from a new genesis block. Existing deployed contracts, test accounts, balances, and historical data will be cleared, requiring applications on Testnet to be redeployed.
Aptos said the Testnet has processed more than 10 billion transactions, expanding state storage requirements. The reset follows the AIP-147 proposal to manage storage growth through periodic resets. Mainnet and Devnet operations will not be affected.
