Anthropic has disclosed in confidential IPO filings that it signed an agreement with SpaceX to pay up to $84.5 billion by 2029 for Nvidia chip-based AI computing resources. Most provisions of the contract can be terminated with 90 days' notice. The revealed figure significantly exceeds previous disclosures. In May, Anthropic announced a compute leasing deal with SpaceX, and earlier SpaceX listing documents indicated a monthly payment of $1.25 billion over approximately three years, totaling nearly $45 billion, which also included a 90-day cancellation clause.
