The Algorand Foundation appointed former Chainlink and Curv executive William Herkelrath as CEO, effective August 31. He succeeds Staci Warden, who served for nearly five years. Herkelrath will lead efforts to expand institutional business and advance quantum-resistant security technology. He most recently co-founded AI automation platform K3 Labs and previously held leadership roles at Chainlink and Curv. Herkelrath and Nexus Labs Chief Strategy Officer Alex Fowler have also joined the council, while Rebecca Rettig and Michael Mosier have stepped down.
