Wyoming’s Stable Token Commission has adopted Chainlink Proof of Reserve to provide near real-time onchain reserve verification for the state’s official stablecoin, Frontier Stable Token (FRNT). The move expands the commission’s use of Chainlink after previously migrating FRNT’s cross-chain infrastructure from LayerZero to Chainlink CCIP, making Chainlink the sole onchain asset verification infrastructure for the token.
Audit firm The Network Firm will review FRNT’s reserves and token supply under AICPA standards, with verification data posted onchain through Chainlink to reduce information gaps between reporting periods. The commission will also introduce Chainlink Proof of Reserve Secure Mint, requiring verified reserves to be at least equal to FRNT’s total supply before any new issuance. FRNT is fully backed by U.S. dollars and short-term Treasuries, with related income used to diversify state finances and support local education funds.
