Ripple has obtained preliminary approval for a Crypto Asset Service Provider license from Luxembourg's financial regulator. This approval positions Ripple to launch its payment services across the European Economic Area, aligning with MiCA standards. The license will become effective upon meeting final conditions. With this, Ripple aims to offer European financial institutions seamless access to its crypto asset and stablecoin payment infrastructure, leveraging its existing Electronic Money Institution license.
