Colombia's National Tax Administration (DIAN) has implemented Resolution No. 000240, mandating cryptocurrency exchanges to report detailed user and transaction data. This regulation requires both domestic and international crypto service providers operating in Colombia to submit information on account ownership, transaction volumes, transfer amounts, market values, and net balances.
The initiative aims to enhance transparency in the digital asset sector and curb tax evasion. Exchanges must submit their first comprehensive report for the 2026 tax year by May 2027. Non-compliance or inaccurate reporting could result in fines up to 1% of the unreported transaction value.
