Coinbase and Paradigm co-founder Fred Ehrsam has reportedly made several trips to Caracas, Venezuela, in recent months to explore investment opportunities in sectors such as oil, gas, fintech, and digital payments. According to Bloomberg, Ehrsam has engaged with high-ranking officials from both Venezuela and the United States, as well as business executives and individuals close to the government. The discussions are still in the exploratory phase, with no deals finalized yet. Despite the potential opportunities, Venezuela remains one of the world's most high-risk investment destinations due to sanctions, weak institutional frameworks, and political instability. Ehrsam is also reportedly interested in physical assets within the country, but the uncertain environment poses significant challenges.
