MegaETH has launched its mainnet, introducing a high-speed Layer 2 network capable of processing up to 50,000 transactions per second with a block time of just 10 milliseconds. This new network aims to enhance real-time DeFi and dApp performance while alleviating congestion on Ethereum's main blockchain. Following a successful testnet phase that handled over 500 million simulated transactions, MegaETH is positioned as one of the fastest Ethereum scaling solutions available. The network employs an optimized rollup structure with a high-speed sequencer, ensuring fast processing without compromising transparency or security. MegaETH's design allows transaction data to be published on Ethereum for verification, maintaining the base layer's security. The project, which raised $1.39 billion in commitments during an October token sale, plans further security audits and the introduction of a decentralized sequencer in 2025 to enhance trust and stability.
