Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission has added Star Bridge Capital and related entities to its list of unlicensed companies, stating they are not permitted to conduct regulated activities in Hong Kong or actively market services to the Hong Kong public, whether inside or outside the city.
The move follows an earlier London gold trading liquidation incident involving Star Bridge Capital. The company’s Hong Kong office was found vacant after the event. Some client funds were reportedly deposited via USDT, which may make tracing and recovery more difficult. Hong Kong police have accepted the case and have temporarily classified it as fraud, with no arrests made so far.
