A new report from Global Payments forecasts a significant rise in cryptocurrency payments, predicting a 16% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2025 to 2030. Currently, digital wallets dominate global online transactions, yet only 10% of merchants accept crypto directly. In 2025, crypto payments represented just 0.19% of global e-commerce, totaling $15 billion. By 2030, this figure is expected to grow to 0.28%, or nearly $31 billion, marking crypto as the fastest-growing online payment method.
