China’s A-share market reversed earlier gains on September 15, with the ChiNext Index falling 1.15% as more than 4,300 stocks declined. Total turnover across the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets reached 1.61 trillion yuan, down 16.5 billion yuan from the previous session and marking a new low for the year.
CATL fell more than 6% to its lowest level in nearly a year. The Shanghai Composite Index closed down 0.54%, while the Shenzhen Component Index lost 0.72%.
Wind power, PCB, semiconductor and cybersecurity stocks remained active, with several names hitting daily limit-ups. Agriculture and retail stocks weakened, with multiple companies hitting daily limit-downs.
