BNB Chain announced that the Jenner hard fork upgrade will launch on the BNB Smart Chain testnet on October 28. The upgrade introduces a Payment Lane feature that reserves 5% of each block's Gas capacity by default for eligible payment transactions.
The Jenner hard fork also enables smart contracts to use millisecond-level block timestamps and adds functional support for the new compliant asset standard CAS20. BNB Chain stated that the specific rollout schedule for related features will be announced separately.
