Backpack has appointed Kyle Samani, co-founder of Multicoin Capital and an early Solana investor, to the board of directors of Backpack US, according to a company announcement. Samani said in February 2026 that he would step down from his role at Multicoin Capital and leave the fund. He continues to serve as a board member of Zama and chairman of the board of Forward Industries, and has said he plans to keep investing in the crypto sector in a personal capacity.
