Anthropic is merging Claude chat and Cowork into a single unified interface that automatically routes requests, allowing users to access chat, Artifacts, and Claude Design within one window. The update introduces Claude Docs and Claude Slides for collaborative document and presentation creation, with support for mobile progress tracking and PowerPoint or PDF exports. This unified experience will roll out to Pro and Max users in the coming weeks before expanding to free and Team plans. The company is also testing a new multi-threaded Projects feature in Claude Code that enables parallel cloud processing for complex workflows. After users set goals and connect repositories, a coordinator breaks down tasks and schedules multiple threads that share project memory and material libraries. This capability, designed for long-term multi-step development tasks, is currently available to select Pro and Max users via Claude Code cloud sessions.
