The US government has sold 4.45 million forfeited Anthropic shares, generating $627 million in proceeds designated for repaying FTX creditors. According to Anthropic's S-1 filing, the shares were resold to nine buyers.
The divestiture occurs ahead of Anthropic's upcoming Nasdaq listing under the ticker ANT. Based on current valuations, the remaining stake held by the government is worth approximately $3.94 billion.
