The dollar strengthened against the Japanese yen, rising to 159.33 yen from 158.9 yen, and against the Swiss franc, climbing to 0.7857 francs from 0.7826 francs. Additionally, the dollar appreciated against the Canadian dollar and Swedish krona, reaching 1.3813 Canadian dollars and 9.3198 kronor, respectively.
