Uber President Jill Hazelbaker is leaving the ride-hailing giant to join OpenAI as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, where she will oversee global communications and corporate positioning. The move was first reported by Bloomberg on November 4.
Hazelbaker joined Uber in 2015 after stints at Snap and Google, and was promoted to President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer in May of this year. Her departure marks the latest senior executive exit at Uber in 2026.
