Symbiosis said an attacker exploited a vulnerability in its Bitcoin Bridge on Sept. 11, prompting the protocol to suspend BTC cross-chain routing. Other routes, including EVM chains, TRON and TON, as well as the Octopools components, remain operational and unaffected. The team has recovered approximately 15 BTC and transferred the funds to a multisignature wallet under its control. Symbiosis offered the attacker a white-hat bounty equal to 20% of the recovered funds, valid until Sept. 13. After that deadline, the same 20% reward will be offered to anyone who provides information that helps recover the funds. The final loss is still being calculated, while the team is contacting affected liquidity providers and developing a compensation framework. Earlier reports said the attacker had cashed out approximately $336,000.
