Mecka AI is nearing the close of a new funding round led by Sequoia Capital at a valuation of approximately $500 million. The startup focuses on collecting and analyzing human motion data to train humanoid robots and other robotic systems. The funding amount has not been disclosed, and deal terms have not been finalized. The round follows Mecka’s $60 million raise three months ago, led by Framework Ventures with participation from Menlo Ventures, SV Angel, and Kindred Ventures.
