Ledger has instructed resellers to immediately suspend sales across seven Asian markets, including Hong Kong and six Southeast Asian countries. The company identified a security risk involving hardware implants capable of stealing recovery phrases from devices.
The vulnerability allows malicious implants to compromise seed phrases even when units pass Ledger's Genuine Check verification system. This suspension aims to prevent distribution of potentially tampered devices while the security issue is addressed.
