$Kimchi token surged over 150% after trader kimchi re-added Pump.fun to his personal bio, just three days after removing it. The move coincided with trader ja2trader's purchase of 4.61 million $Kimchi tokens for $28,900 hours before the bio change; that position is now up approximately $11,000. Pump.fun co-founder Alon publicly endorsed kimchi on October 21, calling him "the first person to truly bridge the gap between crypto and pop culture" and "the first example of a trader becoming a celebrity." However, kimchi removed Pump.fun from his bio just two days after the endorsement — during which time Pump.fun revenue dropped 16% and active addresses fell 11%. Reports suggest kimchi may have received 1.35 billion PUMP tokens (valued at $6.25 million) as marketing compensation.
