A U.S. federal judge in the Southern District of New York has dismissed 15 claims brought by the Celsius litigation administrator against blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis, while allowing one claim alleging aiding and abetting breach of fiduciary duty to proceed. The court also granted plaintiffs permission to amend three dismissed consumer protection claims by October 20. The lawsuit centers on Celsius's 2020 promotion of a $3.3 billion asset scale calculated using Chainalysis tools, which the bankrupt lender marketed as an "audit." Plaintiffs allege Chainalysis participated in this promotion despite knowing it contained misleading statements, though these allegations remain unconfirmed by the court.
