European venture capital firm Sprints has completed fundraising for its fifth fund, securing €725 million ($810 million) from endowments, foundations, pension funds, and family offices. Co-founder Henrik Persson confirmed the process took approximately one year, with more than 50% of the capital already deployed into new investments and existing portfolio companies. Sprints, an early investor in Revolut and the largest shareholder in Vinted, also holds stakes in Flightradar24 and Checkout.com. The firm recently achieved a major exit when AI customer service company Fin was acquired by Salesforce for $3.6 billion. Despite this success, Persson stated Sprints has avoided foundational AI investments due to the lack of established business models in that sector.
