The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) went live today with its tokenization service, enrolling 20 DTC participants including Bank of America, Barclays, Citi, Fidelity, JPMorgan, and Morgan Stanley. The initial rollout covers 34 securities, with tokens backed 1:1 by underlying assets while DTC continues to maintain the official books.
Canton Network and DTCC's private Besu network are the first two chains supporting the service. Stellar and Circle's Arc network are slated for integration in 2027.
