Bybit has been removed from the Malaysian Securities Commission's (SC) investor alert list following constructive discussions with local regulators and alignment with regulatory requirements, according to CEO Ben Zhou. The cryptocurrency exchange has also recently led an investment in Hata, a dual-licensed crypto platform in Malaysia. Zhou emphasized the importance of regulated local infrastructure for the industry's long-term growth and user trust, highlighting Malaysia as a key market for crypto adoption in the region.
