Bulgaria’s National Assembly passed amendments to the Tax and Social Insurance Procedure Code by a vote of 149-0, with 10 abstentions. The law requires crypto service providers to report detailed customer and transaction data to the National Revenue Agency to meet EU information-sharing requirements.
Reportable user information includes names, addresses, dates and places of birth, tax identification numbers, and tax residence jurisdictions. Companies must also disclose the total amounts and number of units involved in digital-asset transactions, transfers, and exchanges, as well as fiat purchases and sales. Crypto-to-crypto transactions are included in the reporting requirements.
