Osmosis (OSMO) closed mid-October 2026 at $0.04423, and this Osmosis price prediction sets its base case at $0.038-$0.052 for 2026 and $0.087-$0.127 by 2030. Every bound is a price OSMO has already printed. Its supply story is a near tie, with burns matching 99.2% of the OSMO entering circulation from late August to early October.
A mid-October 2026 proposal on the Osmosis forum calls OSMO "already deflationary" and says a year of burns has outpaced the OSMO issued into circulating supply. The chain's own record supports a narrower claim. Across the 41 daily epochs from late August to early October 2026, the burn address took in about 39,860 OSMO a day while about 40,180 a day entered circulation.

What Is Osmosis?
Osmosis is a decentralized exchange on its own Cosmos chain, and OSMO is the token its holders stake and vote with, minted fresh every day. A burn funded by trading fees removes OSMO by sending it to a null address, the standard case of what it means to burn crypto.
OSMO Price History
OSMO set its record close of $11.13 in March 2022, a price 251.7 times its mid-October 2026 close. After that slide it bottomed at $0.2256 in October 2023, then climbed 8.40 times to a $1.896 close in January 2024.
That January 2024 high started a fall of 98.59% to the July 2026 low. A rebound to $0.5767 in January 2025 interrupted it, and OSMO last closed above the October 2023 low in late May 2025.
OSMO's highest close in the year to mid-October 2026 was $0.1269 in late October 2025, with an intraday high of $0.1338 the next day. The 2026 high close came at $0.08756 in mid-May, two days after an intraday spike to $0.1241. By late July 2026 the token had closed at $0.02673, the lowest close in CoinMarketCap's record for it, after an intraday low of $0.02633 two days earlier.
A mid-October jump then lifted OSMO to $0.05188, its highest close of October 2026, and the mid-October close of $0.04423 sat 14.75% under that peak. The close stood 65.48% above the July low and 18.97% above the close a week earlier. It was still 11.22% below the 2025 year-end close of $0.04982 and 63.57% below the mid-October 2025 close of $0.1214.
Is OSMO Really Deflationary?
OSMO came within a hair of deflation from late August to early October 2026, with its burn covering 99.21% of the new OSMO that entered circulation. That's a near tie, and the forum post's claim of burns outpacing issuance doesn't hold over that stretch.
The test uses the post's own definition. Staking rewards and the developer release count as circulating issuance, about 40,180 OSMO a day between them. The 67% of each day's mint that goes to the community pool stays out of the count.
Over the 41 epochs in that stretch the null address took in 1.634 million OSMO, about 39,860 a day. The float (supply outside the burn address and the community pool) rose by about 12,400 OSMO over the same stretch, an increase of 0.0019% on its late-August level.
Holders feel a better version of the numbers. The developer share sat untouched in the Osmosis Foundation's multisig, so the only new OSMO that reached holders was about 9,741 a day of staking rewards. The burn ran 4.09 times that. An August 2025 governance proposal used that staking-only comparison when it called OSMO deflationary. Its test leaves out the developer release that the mid-October post counts.
The burn moves with trading volume, because taker fees fund it. Across the seven daily epochs to mid-October it swung from about 33,600 to about 155,500 OSMO a day and averaged about 82,600, roughly double its late-August-to-early-October pace.
If emissions ended, about 14.68 million OSMO a year of circulating issuance would stop. A burn at the late-August-to-early-October pace would then remove about 14.56 million OSMO a year, 2.31% of the 630.1 million OSMO float at the mid-October close.
The forum post cites a full year, while the public nodes keep state only from late August 2026, so this test covers 41 epochs.
Method: the null address's balance at the window's first and last blocks, with the split taken from the chain's mint parameters. Bank supply rose by exactly 41 daily provisions between those blocks, which fixes the epoch count. The window ends before the one-off early-October burn, and Osmosis's own OSMOscope pull request logs that burn at the same block and amount the chain shows.
OSMO Tokenomics and the Developer Release
The Osmosis mint issues about 121,800 OSMO a day, and governance sends 8% of it to stakers, 25% to the developer release and 67% to the community pool. The staking share pays the blockchain validators who secure the chain and the holders who delegate to them.
Every 730 daily epochs the mint shrinks by a third. A July 2025 proposal dates the last cut to mid-June 2025, which puts the next one around mid-2027.
Bank supply stood at 792.8 million OSMO at the mid-October close. That figure leaves out the 51.74 million pre-minted OSMO still held in the developer vesting module. Counting it, the total came to 844.6 million, under the one billion cap that governance reaffirmed in August 2025. The community pool held another 118.7 million OSMO outside circulation, spendable only by a governance vote.
A single block in early October 2026 sent 16.09 million OSMO to the null address, about 2.03% of bank supply at that block. Proposals 1049 and 1050 had approved pulling that OSMO out of community-pool liquidity positions and burning it, and 1049 promises about 1.27 million more once a liquid-staking position finishes redeeming in late October.
OSMO's developer release follows a governance parameter, unlike the fixed schedules that crypto vesting and cliffsusually describe. In December 2025 Proposal 997 re-pointed it from 15 genesis addresses to one multisig the Osmosis Foundation controls, which needs two of its five keys to sign.
That multisig held 9.80 million OSMO at the mid-October close, about 322 daily releases. The forum post says it has stayed untouched since December 2025, and its balance matches every release since then. The whole sum is liquid to any two of its five signers.
OSMO Technical Analysis
OSMO's mid-October close of $0.04423 stood 16.08% above its 200-day average of $0.03810. Its 50-day average of $0.03655 ran 4.08% under the 200-day, after a death cross in mid-July 2026 that still held at that close.
So the price has climbed back above its long average before the averages themselves have turned. Classic SMA trading strategies for crypto treat a 50-day cross back above the 200-day as the confirmation, and OSMO hadn't printed one by mid-October.
If you trade off these levels, support starts at the 200-day near $0.03810, then the 50-day at $0.03655 and the late-July low of $0.02673. Resistance begins at the $0.05188 October high close, with the $0.08756 mid-May high close above it.
Osmosis Price Prediction 2026
About ten weeks of trading are left in 2026 after the mid-October close, so the 2026 ranges stay near the price.

Those bounds are all printed levels, with the bear range running from the late-July 2026 low to the 200-day average. The base runs from the 200-day to the October 2026 high close, and the bull from that close to the mid-May 2026 high close.
This forecast leans to the base case, because the death cross still stands and the burn that held supply flat depends on trading volume holding up.
OSMO Price Prediction 2027
OSMO's 2027 base case runs $0.0442-$0.0876, from the mid-October close up to the token's best close of 2026, set in mid-May. A slide back to the July low gives a bear range of $0.0267-$0.0443.
A bull year would run $0.0875-$0.1339, from the mid-May high close to the late-October 2025 intraday high, the top price OSMO printed in the year to mid-October 2026.
The scheduled cut matters most here. If emissions still run in mid-2027, a one-third reduction would take circulating issuance to about 26,790 OSMO a day, well under the burn's late-August-to-early-October pace of about 39,860.
OSMO Price Prediction 2028
In 2028 the base case moves up to $0.0518-$0.0876, from the October 2026 high close to the $0.08756 peak close of May. That range assumes OSMO has held above its mid-October level by then.
On the downside, 2028 closes would fall between $0.0263 and $0.0382, from the late-July 2026 intraday low to the 200-day average. The bull case spans $0.0875-$0.1339, the same climb as in 2027.
Osmosis Price Prediction 2030
OSMO's 2030 base case runs $0.0875-$0.1269, from the mid-May 2026 high close to the late-October 2025 high close. 2029 sits a step lower at $0.0518-$0.1269, and both years share a bear range of $0.0263-$0.0382 and a bull range of $0.1268-$0.1339.
Those bull ranges stop at the late-October 2025 intraday high. The January 2025 close of $0.5767 is 13.04 times the mid-October close. The 2023-24 cycle belongs to a market OSMO left in May 2025, so neither enters a range.

How to Get Exposure to OSMO
The OSMO/USDT spot pair left Phemex in early July 2026 under a delisting notice, and Phemex runs no OSMO perpetual, so the Osmosis price page is where Phemex users follow the token.
-
Track the close against the 200-day average, because that line splits this forecast's bear and base cases for 2026.
-
Compare the daily burn with the roughly 40,180 OSMO a day entering circulation before you size a position.
-
Watch the Osmosis forum and the chain's proposal list for an on-chain version of the end-of-issuance plan, since a passed vote would stop the mint.
-
Treat the Foundation multisig's balance as liquid supply, because two of its five signers can move every coin in it.
Bitcoin and other major coins trade as futures on Phemex for broader crypto exposure. Futures use leverage, and a leveraged position is closed automatically if losses reach its margin.
Is OSMO a Good Investment?
OSMO is a high-risk holding whose supply case rests on Osmosis trading volume, because trading fees fund the burn that offsets new issuance. If you hold it, four risks decide most of the outcome.
Burns that follow volume
A quieter market would push the burn back under circulating issuance, turning a near tie into a steady net addition of OSMO. Burn-funded tokens all face that test, and our Uniswap (UNI) price prediction asks the same question of UNI's protocol burns.
Supply two signatures can move
The Foundation multisig's 9.80 million OSMO equals 1.56% of the float at the mid-October close. Behind it sit 51.74 million more in the developer module, released on a schedule that a governance vote can change.
A plan without a vote
The end-of-issuance plan was a forum post at the mid-October close, with no on-chain proposal behind it. If it stalls, the mint keeps paying stakers and the developer release until the next cut around mid-2027.
A trend that hasn't turned
OSMO's October high close of $0.05188 came in 40.75% under its mid-May high close, and the July death cross still stood at the mid-October close. The token traded 99.60% below its March 2022 record at that close.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Osmosis crypto a good investment?
It's a high-risk bet on Osmosis trading fees, which fund the burn. That burn covered 99.2% of new circulating OSMO from late August to early October 2026, and this forecast's 2030 base case is $0.0875-$0.1269 against a $0.04423 mid-October close.
What is the OSMO coin price prediction for 2030?
This forecast's 2030 base case is $0.0875-$0.1269, from OSMO's mid-May 2026 high close to its late-October 2025 high close. The full 2030 range runs from the $0.0263 intraday low of late July 2026 up to $0.1339, set by the late-October 2025 intraday high.
What is the Osmosis crypto price prediction for 2026?
OSMO's 2026 base case in this forecast is $0.0381-$0.0519, from the 200-day average to the October 2026 high close. A bear year would hold $0.0267-$0.0382 and a bull year $0.0518-$0.0876, measured from a mid-October 2026 close of $0.04423.
Will OSMO stop being minted?
The mint was still running at the mid-October 2026 close, issuing about 121,800 OSMO a day. A forum proposal posted that month would end emissions, but it had reached no on-chain vote by the close. The next scheduled change is a one-third cut around mid-2027.
Bottom Line
OSMO's float was flat from late August to early October 2026, so a higher price has to come from buyers, with no shrinking supply to lean on. The deflation story turns real when issuance falls, through the forum plan or the mid-2027 cut, or when trading holds near its mid-October pace. Until then, a close back under $0.03810 hands this forecast to its bear case.
